EE today unveiled the UK’s highest-altitude gaming den, over 1,500ft above sea level on the slopes of Ben Nevis, bringing a new meaning to ‘cloud gaming’. The gaming den was unveiled to support the launch of EE’s new great value NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming bundles launching today – putting them to the ultimate test, and forms part of EE’s ambition to become the number one destination for gamers.
Online gaming streamer, Leah ‘Leahviathan’ Alexandra, was challenged to test-drive one of EE’s cloud gaming bundles amongst the clouds of the Scottish Highlands, home to the highest area in the UK. Leah put the cloud gaming bundle to the limit, as she live-streamed a gaming session, whilst battling the elements at the highest-altitude gaming den on UK soil.
Against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, Leah showcased the versatility of NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service, which comes with the new EE bundles – demonstrating how it can turn any device into a powerful gaming platform – whether that be a laptop, mobile phone or smart TV. All a customer needs is a reliable internet connection, in this case EE’s award-winning mobile network – to allow them access to over 1600 games, without the need for game downloads, updates and patches – meaning that less time is spent waiting, and more time gaming.
EE’s new great value cloud gaming bundles feature an NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming subscription, a Google Chromebook and gaming mouse, or Samsung Smart TV and gaming controller – and unlimited video and gaming mobile data – from just £22 per month.
Sam Kemp, Director of Gaming at EE, commented: “We wanted to put our new great value cloud gaming bundles to the ultimate test – and what better way than in the actual clouds, with the UK’s highest-altitude gaming den. Our new bundles, featuring GeForce NOW, really will make high-level gaming experiences even more accessible and affordable to customers across the UK.”
Leah ‘Leahviathan’ Alexandra said: “Test-driving EE’s cloud gaming bundles, in the actual clouds, at the UK’s highest-altitude gaming den was a very cool experience. I’ve recently trekked in the area and realise how difficult it can be to get a great gaming experience on the move, so it was the perfect place to put the EE bundles to the ultimate test – showcasing how they can help make great gaming experiences even more accessible.”
