Hello! Noddydog here to give you some getting started tips in Robocraft Infinity Enhanced Edition, coming soon to Xbox One and Windows 10If you’ve never heard of us before, Robocraft Infinity allows you to build robots block-by-block and face off against other players in their own custom build robots in multiplayer deathmatch and battle arena.

In Robocraft Infinity there is no limit to what you can build and take into battle. As we have a block-based system for creating robots, inspired by Minecraft, it’s possible to build whatever type of robot you want – be it an animal, car, jet, tank, mech, dinosaur in a top hat or something inspired by your favourite sci-fi game series (cough, Master Chief, cough).

Well, I promised some tips so here are three for both building and fighting:

Critical Building

  • Plan your build carefully – You don’t want to find out halfway through building you Robot that you can’t fit that giant Laser Leviathan between your secondary plasma weapons.
  • Mirror mode is your friend – Pressing the View button while in build mode will enable mirror mode in the center grid of the garage. Mirror mode is great for everything, from building up the body of your robot with cubes to placing guns down evenly on both sides of your robot. Pressing it a second time will move the mirror line into an even position, (for building even robots), and a third time will turn it off.
  • Stats-stats-stats – When in build mode keep an eye on the Robot info Panel. This will give you a great idea of how your robot will perform in battle. The Damage boost stats is determined by the CPU value of your robot, the health boost stat is determined by the number of actual health cubes and the speed boost is determined by your movement type or the number of thrusters on your robot.

Fighting to Win

  • Live to fight another day – If the fight’s not exactly going your way make sure you run and find a safe spot to hide, after 10 seconds you’ll start to regenerate your health. It’s not cowardly, it’s a strategic retreat.
  • It’s not all about blowing up robots – Well, it is, but if you’re playing battle arena, a capture point game mode, focusing only on kills is a good (but fun) way to lose the game. Make sure if you clear an area of enemies that you capture the point before moving on.
  • Stick to your role – In our opinion, there are two main types of Robot in this world. The generalist or the specialist. If you’re a generalist make sure you have all your bases covered, you don’t want to find yourself getting bombed from above due to lacking anti-air. If you a specialist stick to it, don’t jump into the middle of combat if you’re playing a medic or a sniper, your role has its own unique strengths that you should be using to the best of your ability.

And with that, you’re now ready to build-drive-fight your way to victory in Robocraft Infinity. This is the first title we’ve ever made for console, so we’re massively excited to hear all of your feedback when the game comes out later this year. Hit us up on Twitter, Facebook if you’d like to tell us your thoughts on the game and keep an eye on RobocraftInfinity.com for more information.
