Since we first launched Paladins into open beta on Xbox One, we’ve been astonished at the community’s support. We’ve worked together with you to make Paladins an even better game. We’ve improved the aiming, the UI, the polish, and a whole bunch more, all as a direct result of community feedback.

And now, it’s time for Paladins to take its next step. After welcoming more than 25 million players during our open beta phase, Paladins will officially launch on May 8!

Over the next two weeks, we’re celebrating our launch and the players who got us here. Anyone who took part in open beta will receive 200 Crystals (MSRP $5 USD) free, just by logging in during our Paladins launch celebration from May 8 to May 31. There’s still time to become eligible for the giveaway too — just sign in before May 8!

There’s also no better time than now to start playing Paladins. We’re unlocking all 36 of our Champions free through May 7. You can try an incredible cast of Champions, ranging from sharpshooting humans to mech-riding goblins to jetpack-clad dragons, and more. Each character brings a unique set of abilities to battle, and we release new Champions regularly to keep the game interesting.

If this is the first time you’re hearing about Paladins, you’re in for a treat. Paladins is a team-based shooter set in a fantasy world. Damage dealers let the bullets fly, while support Champions fling healing spells and frontline champions hold the objective with massive shields.

Best of all, you can customize each Champion to play exactly how you want with our unique loadout system. Choose from 16 unique cards for each Champion and craft your own playstyle with the perfect loadout. All loadout cards are now free and unlocked immediately, letting all players experience the fun of customization!

If you get good enough, there’s a world of competitive esports waiting for you. Every weekend players in NA and EU can participate in the open-entry $250,000 Paladins Console Series, powered by Mixer. And if you’re the best of the best, you can qualify for quarterly LANs — like the one May 12-13 live from the Hi-Rez Esports Arena.

This past year has been incredible. We’ve redesigned our aiming system with the help of former Halo and MLG champion Scott “Gandhi” Lussier. We’ve made our UI easier to understand and navigate. We’ve started to run awesome events like “Siege of Ascension Peak,” telling the fantastic story of the realm and bringing new game modes to our players.

This year, following our launch, things are only going to get better. But Paladins will always remain free to play, even after release. Thank you for all your help during open beta and we can’t wait to see you in the Realm today or after our May 8 official launch!
