Efficient IP/optical integration is becoming key in the global management and engineering of dynamic and high-bandwidth IP and optical transport network resources. This video shows the Nokia NSP as a software-defined networking (SDN) controller for multi-layer visibility, analysis, and control. In particular, coordinated multi-layer maintenance procedures are shown, demonstrating how optical layer maintenance can be carried out with little or no impact to user traffic.
