When Lady Gaga commanded us all to “walk walk, fashion baby”, there’s a strong chance she was talking about checking out London’s famous Fashion Week. If you’re not familiar with London Fashion Week, it’s the time when everyone who loves fashion converges on the UK capital to explore the new and coming trends. And for everyone who can’t make it this year, we’ve got something to make you feel like a catwalk model even from the comfort of your own home.

When is London Fashion Week 2018?

This year, London Fashion Week is from 13-18 September, and is being held in The Store Studios, on The Strand in London. There’s loads of opportunities for brands and retailers to showcase their wares, with everything from Alexa Chung to Zandra Rhodes.

What’s London Fashion Week all about?

If, like some of us at Three, you’ve got no idea what Fashion Week 2018 is all about, don’t worry! We’ve got the insider info on what started the huge event and what’s happening this year. And, if you’re more high street than high fashion, we’ve got some amazing offers on Wuntu to help you treat yourself to a whole new wardrobe.

Fashion Week officially started as a way for brands to demonstrate their new ranges in clothing and fashion to large retailers, with the hope that the retailer would purchase and stock their designs. It was an exclusive, professional affair that was full of big names and faces.

However, since the rise of the wonderful internet, the buying and selling world in fashion has changed and Fashion Week has evolved with it. Now, not only are the biggest names in fashion and retail there, but there is the opportunity to check everything out yourself from the best British brands. You can even purchase outfits right from the runway if you’ve got the budget. And if you’re really keen, you can check out London Fashion Week Festival on 20-23 September, for slick shopping, thoughtful talks and couture catwalks.

Who to look out for.

So who’re the big names causing a stir at this year’s London Fashion Week? Since the departure of their creative director Phoebe Philo, everyone’s holding their breath to see what Céline will have to show, although we might not find out until Paris Fashion Week at the end of the month! If you’re lucky enough to be heading to Paris, don’t forget you can Go Roam for no extra cost on Three! Also, the well-known Burberry are always phenomenal, with last year’s showcase featuring a huge LGBT+ collection and this year being fur-free. They’ve also recently massively rebranded, so who knows what to expect!

Lesser known but equally exciting names getting people in the fashion world excited include Simone Rocha, Anya Hindmarch and Molly Goddard. Another fantastic example of British fashion is the understated Margaret Howell, who’re bucking the trend with timeless fashion classics made locally in London and Scotland. Minimalist and British collide at their finest.

So if you’re feeling very haute couture, why not check out what you can bag yourself on Wuntu? With offers all the way from 30% off at Zavvi, right the way to I Saw it First’s £10 off a £20 order, there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget the beauty aspect though; if you look good, you’ll feel good! Wuntu also have a great selection of beauty offers at Menkind, HQ Hair and more.
And to finish the look right off, why not accessorise the whole thing with a shiny new iPhone X or Samsung Galaxy S9 on Three, with added perks and benefits for the celebrity you really are.
