Bimini will throw the one-of-a-kind Watch Party on EE’s Twitter channel, alongside an epic line up of film-loving stars so fans can tune in alongside the BBC One broadcast to watch this entertaining commentary on the UK’s biggest film awards.

Over the course of the live stream show, viewers will enjoy all the excitement of the awards ceremony from the comfort of their own homes, by virtually joining the famous film-loving line up for their reactions and commentary as the action unfolds. Those joining the Watch Party can also get involved on Sunday 13th March live on EE’s Twitter page (www.twitter.com/EE)  and by using the hashtag #EEBAFTAs.

Those who have been following this season’s film releases and are desperate for the opportunity to speak to their favourite silver screen stars can enter the draw to be an EE red carpet reporter live from the EE BAFTA Film House. The winners will take their positions on the sofa at the EE BAFTA Film House and watch the stars as they arrive at the Royal Albert Hall red carpet, chatting to the nominees live over EE Full Fibre broadband.  Film Fans can enter for a chance to win a space for them and a plus one on EE’s Instagram.

Before the EE BAFTA Film House plays host to this entertaining second screen viewing experience, its glamorous doors will be open throughout the BAFTA weekend for film fans to book a slot on Saturday 12th March for themselves and up to five friends to enjoy the ultimate connected film viewing experience. To book, visit ee.co.uk/BAFTA.

The EE BAFTA Film House is powered by one EE Full Fibre broadband router, which will connect countless Google devices, immersing guests in a home-viewing experience like no other. Lucky visitors will have the chance to stream one of the 2022 EE Rising Star nominees’ films on a 75” 4K TV, use voice control to order film-favourite snacks and drinks; control their own multi-sensory streaming experience by setting the atmosphere of the room to match their film choice and engage with bespoke EE BAFTA trivia games and photo moments – all without a drop in the ultrafast gigabit connection.

Bimini Bon Boulash comments: “Being a part of the EE BAFTAs is a bit of a ‘pinch me’ moment. I’m always obsessed with seeing the glamour and the fashion on the red carpet and deciding who was best dressed, but usually this happens when I’m chilling at home in my PJs. This year I get to do it in my glad rags with a bunch of mates live from the EE BAFTA Film House, and invite everyone to watch with me on Twitter.”

Pete Jeavons, Marketing Communications Director at EE comments: “This viewing party is an exciting new way to use the power of our Full Fibre broadband to connect film fans to the action taking place at the Royal Albert Hall on 13th March. We know that our customers enjoy using their devices at home while they watch TV to enable second screen experiences for key cultural moments like the EE BAFTAs, so we wanted to present them with a live streamed show that compliments the BBC broadcast and allows them to engage with the excitement, reactions and commentary of the awards in a brand-new format.”

EE has been a long-standing partner of the British Academy Film Awards for the past 25 years, working with BAFTA to bring film fans closer to the awards through the magic of technology. Since the partnership began, EE has not only worked with BAFTA to introduce the EE Rising Star Award but also used its award-winning network to create new and exciting opportunities for film fans to be part of the action on the red carpet.

The Watch Party live stream will be available on Twitter alongside the start of the awards ceremony on Sunday 13th March 2022.
