12th April 2022, London: Following EE’s successful launch of the House of Fibre in Liverpool and Bristol in February and March, the House of Fibre is now coming to London on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April.
The immersive tech experience will feature an interactive smart kitchen, a gamer’s paradise, a wellness gym, an infinity bathroom with the ultimate selfie mirror and a living room with buffer-free streaming of TV shows and films -all powered by EE’s Full Fibre.
Members of the public can register for free tickets to the experience and join EE at the address in Streatham Hill, on Saturday 23rd April (10AM to 5PM) and Sunday 24th April (10AM to 7.30PM). They will also have the opportunity to take part in a series of digitally enhanced masterclasses within the hyperconnected house, including a cooking class led by Great British Bake Off star, Ruby Bhogal.
Ruby Bhogal, Great British Bake Off 2018 Finalist, said: “Come and join me in making some quick, easy, and tasty recipes in the interactive kitchen at EE’s House of Fibre. I will be using an array of smart devices powered by EE’s Full Fibre broadband to create a range of delicious dishes, as well as testing out how EE’s new Full Fibre can make your time in the kitchen that much quicker and easier. I can’t wait to cook along with you all!”
The house will showcase the ability of EE’s Full Fibre to connect 100 devices simultaneously and seamlessly as new research reveals that almost a quarter (19%) of Londoners have arguments at home over access to their Wi-Fi connection and nearly one third (32%) state that they couldn’t last more than a day without Wi-Fi.
Nearly half (47%) of households in London have also found that the increasing number of connected devices is slowing down their internet speeds with TV or film buffering being the biggest annoyance when having to share an internet connection with their household.
Pete Jeavons, Marketing Communications Director at EE, said: “The House of Fibre is a brilliant way for us to demonstrate to our customers what EE’s Full Fibre broadband is capable of. It really can handle anything from streaming your favourite TV shows, playing games online, Zoom calling friends and live streaming on Instagram all at the same time. At the House of Fibre guests can cook, exercise, game and stream movies using smart devices and without any glitches in connectivity and so it really is a real testament to the power of this broadband”.
