Elodie had the chance to quiz some of her favourite actors including The Banshees of Inisherin cast, Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and BAFTA Supporting Actress winner, Kerry Condon. Frankie and Elodie were also joined by Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, stars of the multi-award winning All Quiet on the Western Front, not to mention the EE Rising Star Winner, Emma Mackey who was presented the award by last year’s winner Lashana Lynch. Families from all over the UK submitted their Mini Movies shot at home using the four enchanting AR film sets which transformed their living rooms into the worlds of superheroes, dinosaurs, shooting stars and unicorns. The talented Elodie used EE’s Fantasy AR Film Set to create her winning entry, which transported her to a world of unicorns, fairies, and magical wildlife as she goes on her imaginary hunt.

A panel of experts, including BAFTA’s Head of Children & Young People’s Programme, Lisa Prime, BAFTA nominated producer, Hester Ruoff (Boiling Point), art director, actor Glen Wallace (Marcella, Jamie Johnson), Kat Law (Breathe) and EE’s Head of Film, Music and Games Partnerships, Magda Lojszczyk, selected the one winner and three runners-up to join EE’s red carpet host Frankie Bridge and meet the stars as they arrived at the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2023.

Pete Jeavons, Marketing Communications Director at EE, added: “We have a long heritage in supporting emerging talent in the film industry with the EE Rising Star Award, so this year we wanted to create a campaign which inspires the next generation of rising stars on the first steps in their film making journeys. We were so impressed by the innovative ways in which young film fans from all over the country used the AR film sets; it was brilliant to see the ways in which technology can be used to spark young imaginations.”
