Halloween
Guy Fawkes Night
Yep, we’ve checked and we’ve definitely got the all clear to mention the ‘C’ word.
So, we’ll be counting down to the big day right here with more treats, tips, Christmas apps and hacks than you can shake a cocktail stick at. We’ve even managed to squeeze in a couple of offers and surprises too.
Whether you see Christmas as a game of survival or you love every tinsel-tastic minute, all you need to do is check back here every day as we spread some Three-style Christmas cheer. And if you’re already feeling festive, here are a few Christmas apps you’ll love:
The Christmas List (£2.99 on iOS)
This is the number one shopping app in the US and it’s easy to see why. It makes buying pressies simple and stress-free and allows you to keep an eye on your finances, which is essential this time of year. Simply set the budget for each person and enter your gift lists quickly and easily. You can track and flag your gifts by received, shipped and wrapped and there’s a handy countdown of shopping days, so you can plan out your next shopping spree and make sure nothing is forgotten. We all know that Christmas is about giving and we love how this app reaffirms that spending time with loved ones is worth more than any gift. Here’s what they say (we couldn’t put it better ourselves):
The Christmas List is an easy-to-use app to help you organize your Christmas lists and budget so you can spend less time buying presents for the ones you love and more time being present with the ones you love!
Perfect Christmas Dinner (Free on iOS)
From stuffing balls and sprouts, to parsnips and pigs in blankets – everyone has their own idea of what they think constitutes the perfect traditional Christmas dinner. But cooking a feast like this for friends and family is no mean feat.
Panic not! The Perfect Christmas Dinner app brings you tips and tricks from professional chefs that will make sure you get your turkey and all the trimmings spot on. It’s got over 25 recipes: from the perfect roasties and veg, to stunning Christmas canapes and drinks. In fact, this app has everything you need to make the whole Christmas break the ultimate food fest. We’re already drooling…
Santa Video Call & Tracker (Free / £4.99 on iOS and Android)
This totally immersive app lets you and your kids get stuck in with Santa in the build-up to Christmas. You can set up a video call from Santa for your child and use the app to track him. And if you’re getting tired of tricky behaviour, simply set the ‘naughty’ or ‘nice’ scanner as you see fit.
If you’re willing to pay £4.99 for the full version of the app you’ll get loads of extra features. There’s a Beardifier and an Elfifier, so you can play with your pics; a joke generator; North Pole News; Santa’s List; Elfbook (the elf version of Facebook); and loads load more. It doesn’t actually matter whether you’ve got kids or not, we think this cracker of an app is a must for everyone!
Why not have a play with the latest Christmas apps as you dust down those baubles and get geared up for the most wonderful time of the year. And don’t forget to come back here on Saturday 1st December as the countdown begins…
