Friday 20th September 2019: Kevin Bacon will hit UK screens tomorrow in the latest EE brand campaign, celebrating the launch of iPhone 11 on EE, the UK’s number one network.

The ad is scheduled to air tomorrow (21st September 2019) during the Rugby World Cup fixture between New Zealand and South Africa marking iPhone 11’s UK launch on EE. Customers can get iPhone 11 on the UK’s number one network with unlimited data, plus an EE lifetime guarantee covering against manufacturer faults. With the fastest uncapped speeds, Swappable Benefits and up to 100GB of data gifting, there’s no better place to enjoy the amazing new iPhone. And with Upgrade Anytime, they’ll also be able to get the latest and greatest new iPhone whenever they want.

EE’s latest ad unwraps with fish and chip van punter Peter, casually browsing the van’s menu. The camera then pans out to reveal an emotional Kevin Bacon leaning out from the van’s hatch, embracing Peter to reassure him that he can get the new iPhone on the UK’s number one network.

Reassured by Kevin, Peter’s face lights up as the seasoned actor and he embrace in a mushy hug, leaving Bacon with a tear of joy rolling down his cheek.

EE continues to drive integrated campaigns with a focus on social across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, as well as other video display partners. This campaign will run across TV, out of home (OOH), cinema and video on demand (VOD) – with edits and content developed specifically for a range of digital and social channels.

The campaign kicks off with a 30-second TV ad that will launch on Saturday 21st September 2019. The campaign was developed by EE’s advertising agency, Saatchi & Saatchi London.
