We ran a live trial of remotely operated vessels in the inland waterways of Antwerp. This is a real-world scenario that includes a full ecosystem of partners including LG/Telenet’s network, Nokia’s Network as Code software, IMEC’s research and integration services and Seafar’s Shore Control Center. Network as Code’s developer portal enabled IMEC to seamlessly integrate Device Location and Quality on Demand (QoD) capabilities from Telenet’s network into the application that enables Seafar to perform their remote vessel operations service with greater efficiency.
