Scott Eastwood, star of the upcoming film “Pacific Rim: Uprising,” will take a quick break from filming to play the highly-anticipated Xbox One console-exclusive title from StudioMDHR, Cuphead, on Xbox Live Sessions, an interactive livestream hosted on the Mixer Xbox Channel.
Scott will play Cuphead Friday, September 29, at 6 p.m. PST helping celebrate the worldwide release of the game. Fans of Eastwood and Cuphead who tune in will get a taste of the classic run-and-gun game heavily focused on boss battles which was inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, featuring visuals and audio that were painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era.
“It’s so cool to get to be invited to the opening day of a new game,” said Eastwood. “I’ve been so impressed by how far video games have come in the last decade, can’t wait to check this one out!!!”
Fans who tune-in to the livestream will have the chance to submit questions to Eastwood for the opportunity to win digital copies of Cuphead. He will also be joined by Xbox Live’s very own Major Nelson as host of this Xbox Live Session and by creators of Cuphead, Chad and Jared Moldenhauer from StudioMDHR, should he need any expert tips from the developers themselves.
“Cuphead is a labor of love we’re excited to release to the world,” said Chad and Jared Moldenhauer. “We can’t wait to meet and play the game with Scott Eastwood to see his and fans reactions.”
“Since the first announcement, Cuphead has been one of the most highly-anticipated titles with our fans and we are looking forward to revealing it to the world,” said Aaron Greenberg, GM of Games Marketing at Xbox. “Excited to partner with Scott Eastwood, one of the hottest rising stars in Hollywood on the next Xbox Live Sessions.”
Since its launch in August, Xbox Live Sessions has welcomed top celebrities such as DJ Khaled, Marlon Wayans and James Corden to play newly release titles on Xbox. Stay tuned to Xbox Wire for the latest news on new games like Cuphead and upcoming episodes of Xbox Live Sessions.
