After being fitted with his first pair of running prosthetics at 18, German para-sprinter Johannes Floors ran for the first time since his amputation two years prior. This new beginning was a blank canvas that opened new possibilities and allowed him to realize something was missing in his life.
Although curiosity and determination motivated him to master the basics, meticulous training and discipline combined with the desire to create an impact made Johannes into the world-class para-sprinter he is today.
As he navigates the road ahead, Johannes wants to change public perceptions of prosthetics, drive discussions within and beyond the Paralympic community and help keep the next generation on track.
