Xbox Live Gold members can play Tom Clancy’s The Division for free on Xbox One starting today from September 13 to September 16, making this weekend the perfect time to take to the snowy streets of disaster-ravaged Manhattan, fight neighborhood-to-neighborhood against violent enemy factions, and strengthen your Agent with new guns and gear.

Players who have already participated in the free trial version of The Division on Xbox One will still have full access to the game during the free weekend. If you decide to continue playing after the free weekend, the Standard and Gold Editions of The Division will be 70% off in the Microsoft Store from September 11 to September 20, and you’ll also be able to pick up select cosmetic items for up to 50% off. All your progress from the free weekend will carry over to your purchased version of the game, so you can pick up right where you left off. If you’re looking to pick up The Division Season Pass, it will also be available at a 60% discount.

The free weekend hits shortly after the release of the seventh Shield, Talon. Shields are special commendations that reward players for impressive in-game accomplishments with a range of items that include audio logs and Exotic weapons. To unlock Talon, players will need to attain at least a 3,000 Commendation Score. Players earn Commendation Score by taking out enemies, uncovering hidden collectibles, and generally exploring all that The Division has to offer. Collect enough Shields, and you’ll earn in-game rewards for The Division 2 when it releases on March 15, 2019.

Xbox Live Gold members can grab the game by clicking here, or by heading to the Gold Member area of the Microsoft Store on September 13.
