Staying connected while traveling beneath the city is easier than ever. Virgin Media O2 has made significant strides in enhancing our 4G and 5G mobile coverage on the London Underground, meaning that our customers can browse the web, make calls, and stay connected even while riding the Tube. No more worrying about missed calls, buffering podcasts, or having to make do without your morning playlist!
Working in partnership with Boldyn Networks and TFL, O2 customers can now benefit from mobile coverage at the following stations and connecting tunnels:
Central Line:
Jubilee Line:
Northern Line:
We are committed to expanding coverage across the entire London Underground network. While not every station has full coverage at the moment, by the end of 2024, Tube customers will be able to access 4G and 5G mobile connectivity across a significant proportion of the Tube network. So, even if your preferred station isn’t fully covered yet, you can expect improvements in the near future.
To take advantage of the phone network coverage on the London Underground, make sure to:
- Enable mobile data on your phone
- Ensure your device is set to connect automatically to available networks
- Keep your phone charged, as extended usage may drain your battery more quickly
With more stations offering reliable connectivity and continued efforts to enhance coverage, you can look forward to a more connected and convenient commute. Stay tuned for further updates and enjoy the benefits of staying connected while traveling beneath London!
