If there’s ever been a time when we’ve needed more Saints in our lives, it’s now*. Looking bigger and badder than we could have ever imagined, Saints Row: The Third Remastered on Xbox Series X|S is free for everyone who owns the game on Xbox One thanks to Smart Delivery. Woo hoo!

Hang on a minute… So, let’s get this straight. Saints Row: The Third Remastered was an upgraded version of Saints Row: The Third, and Saints Row: The Third Remastered for Xbox Series X|S is an even further upgrade? How. Is. This. Possible? Some kind of juju? Mind blown.

The glow-up includes a whole host of snazzy upgrades, such as improved framerates so those fight scenes really zing, and the game is now capable of running at 60 frames per second with dynamic 4K resolution on Xbox Series X.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered

Should that not be enough for you (greedy), there’s improvement to lighting, texture resolution, and other visual effects as the game’s engine now has much more pizzazz, meaning it can now run at a much higher rate – equivalent to the PC version on High Settings no less.

As you’d expect, there’s a couple of specific differences between the Xbox Series X and S editions – Xbox Series S owners have two modes: Performance with gameplay locked at 60fps with a 1080p resolution or Beauty, which comes with free Saints purple nail varnish and a hairbrush… sorry, I meant Beauty mode locks gameplay to standard 30fps, while adopting an upscaled 4K resolution. Would still like that nail varnish though…

To make up for the lack of beauty products, Saints Row: The Third Remastered supports Smart Delivery (if you already own the game on Xbox One, you can upgrade to Xbox Series X|S for free) and, with SSDs on board, the upgraded games load much, much quicker.

There’s also a massive Saints Row Franchise Sale now on the Xbox Store with discounts between 40% to 80%, from May 25 to 31.

Saints Row®: The Third™ – Remastered gives you control of the Saints at the height of their power, and you live the life to show for it. This is your City. These are your rules.

Remastered with enhanced graphics, Steelport the original city of sin, has never looked so good as it drowns in sex, drugs and guns.

Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobblehead dolls all available at a store near you. The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute.

Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to Steelport, a once-proud metropolis reduced to a struggling city of sin under Syndicate control. Take a tank skydiving, call in a satellite-targeted airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang, and fight against a highly-trained military force by your lonesome in the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen.
