In May, Microsoft announced a new category of devices: the Copilot+ PC. These PCs are the fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built, featuring new silicon with NPUs capable of 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), all-day battery life and breakthrough AI experiences. This reimagining of the PC in its entirety has AI at its center, marking the most significant change to the Windows platform in decades.
Now at IFA, the annual Berlin-based electronics tradeshow, Copilot+ PCs took center stage with Microsoft’s partners, including Lenovo. At Lenovo Innovation World 2024, Lenovo unveiled its newest additions to its Yoga and IdeaPad portfolios, including Copilot+ PCs such as the all-new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 200V), the Yoga Pro 7 powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors, and the ThinkBook Gen 7 powered by Snapdragon processors. Lenovo also cast the spotlight on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition, which similar to the Yoga Slim 7i and Yoga Pro 7, will support Copilot+ PC experiences when available from Microsoft* and includes a Copilot key for one-touch access to Copilot, the everyday AI companion.
Yoga Slim 7i Aura EditionDesigned in collaboration with Intel, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is an Intel Evo Edition laptop powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 200V), with an 8-core hybrid processor and high-performance graphics (GPU) for smooth and efficient performance during demanding tasks. The neural processing unit (NPU) delivers 40+ TOPS and accelerates AI-driven applications for creators who require AI-assisted computing power.
The Yoga Pro 7 comes with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor and a 50 TOPS NPU, which accelerates creative workflows, making it an essential tool for professionals who demand high performance. There are plenty of other features that make this thin and light PC versatile and powerful, such as robust ports, a 14.5-inch PureSight Pro OLED display and Wi-Fi 6E support.
Powered by the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 helps accelerate productivity with local AI processing, supporting business applications with more speed and power efficiency. With multi-day battery life, specialized hardware cores for AI tasks and Microsoft Pluton’s chip-to-cloud technology, this portable powerhouse is ready for business on-the-go.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is the lightest ever built for the 14-inch flagship. Like its Yoga Slim sibling, it comes with Smart Modes and the new Intel Core Ultra processor (Series 200v) and integrated NPU offering 40+ TOPS. The newly designed laptop also includes a premium Haptic TouchPad option integrating the classic three button TrackPoint and up to a 14-inch 2.8k OLED Dolby Vision display with anti-glare surface treatment. The 57-watt hour battery delivers up to 18 hours of battery life.
