Recently Huawei KunLun Mission Critical Server recently set world record for two-tier SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark (SAP SD2 Benchmark) result. After scoring the No. 1 position globally in the online analytical processing (OLAP) application benchmark test in June, 2017, KunLun again made it to No. 1 in the online transaction processing (OLTP) SAP B4H Benchmark test, demonstrating its outstanding product performance and in-depth system tuning.
SAP SD2 Benchmark and SAP B4H Benchmark are two most important and influential SAP Benchmark tests in the industry. SAP SD2 Benchmark is used to measure the OLTP application performance of a server. During the test, service applications and the database are installed on the same physical server, and the Benchmark Tool is installed on the client. The test result will be standardized into the SAP Application Performance Standard (SAPs), the standard performance value of the SAP SD application module SAPs. The SAPs is a hardware-independent performance indicator. The value 100 SAPs in the SAP SD application is defined as processing 2000 business orders per hour. Each processed order project includes new order generation, shipment order generation, order display, delivery content modification, goods entry, order listing, and invoice generation. From the technical perspective, 100 SAPs equals 2400 SAP transactions per hour, or 6000 console dialog changes and 2000 record entries.
The server model used in the test is KunLun 9008 Mission Critical Server, configured with 8 Intel E7 v4 processors, 192 cores, and 2 TB memory. KunLun 9008 can be expanded to KunLun 9016/9032. KunLun supports expansion to a maximum of 32 CPUs and 32 TB memory.
