October 2017, London: Today, YouTube’s top football stars led by Spencer FC and F2 Freestylers played alongside international football legends Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Robbie Savage, David James, William Gallas and Emile Heskey in an electrifying third annual Wembley Cup with EE.

Hashtag United, led by Spencer FC took the trophy home with a 6-1 win, helped in part from two epic goals in the final five minutes from Phil Martin and Charlie Morley who recovered from a fall in the penalty box to slot the ball past legend David James. Tekkers Town’s only goal came thanks to captain Jeremy Lynch driving home a penalty in the first half, as the youngest player on the pitch – Hashtag United’s Scott Pollock – picked up the Man of the Match trophy.

The Wembley Cup with EE is today’s most-attended football match in England with over 34,000 tickets sold, as £2 from each ticket is donated to Sport Relief who bring together the entire nation to get active, raise cash and change lives. Their work helps people both here in the UK and the some of the world’s poorest communities and the total proceeds of £60,000 will go towards helping the most vulnerable people in the UK and across the Globe.

The entire match was broadcast live via Spencer FC’s YouTube channel with a total of 300,000 live viewers. The final episode of the eight-part series which began in September and followed YouTube footballing sensations Spencer Owen (Spencer FC) and the F2 Freestylers complete epic football challenges in the road to the final will be shown on Wednesday.
