It’s not enough for us to just tell you how crazy the world of Rage 2 is. That’s something you need to see to believe – and we’ve got something new for you that’ll surely turn you into a believer, ahead of the game’s launch on Xbox One on May 14, 2019.

From the towering rock formations and Old World remnants of the Torn Plains, to the boggy swamplands and rusted junkyards of the Sekreto Wetlands, the post-post-apocalyptic world of Rage 2 is a living, breathing, murderous entity. The survivors who haven’t turned to lives of crime are just doing whatever they can to scrape by and rebuild society.

The team has created a world that captures this spirit of rebirth. Of course, you still have the roving bandit factions and the Authority fighting to take control, but underneath the chaos you’ll find hubs of civilization like Vineland, Gunbarrel and Wellspring, where the people have tried to bring a bit of normalcy back into their lives. There’s more life and personality to be found everywhere you look.

And that life and personality extends beyond the citizens of the wasteland, and into the wasteland itself. The various regions of the world – ranging from desert wastelands to jungles and swamps – serve to tell the story of a recovering Earth, while also differentiating Rage 2 from its much browner predecessor. Life is returning to the world with a little help from the EcoPods that have worked overtime to begin terraforming the planet.

And everywhere you go in that wide-open world, you’ll find something to do – whether it’s hunting down the various factions and clearing out their hideouts, taking down powerful enemy convoys, checking out the racing scene, or just exploring and finding new things to blow up.

Rage 2 is coming to Xbox One on May 14, 2019. Pre-order to receive the exclusive Cult of the Death God mission and don Nicholas Raine’s legendary armor and Settler Pistol. The Rage 2 Collector’s Edition is also available for pre-order.
