Hey chefs! We have some exciting details regarding Cooking Simulator VR, coming to PlayStation VR2 on December 15. Our VR game will make you feel like a master chef. Take control of a highly polished, realistic kitchen equipped with all kinds of utensils and stands. Unlock and master over 80 recipes or use dozens of lifelike ingredients to cook everything you like. A simulator spiced up with a dash of real-life physics!
PlayStation VR2 allowed us to develop the definitive version of Cooking Simulator VR, offering features available only on this platform. Here’s what you can expect!
Let every pixel be filled with food
Cooking Simulator VR for PlayStation VR2 uses the maximum resolution of the headset. 2000×2040 per eye with additional boost from Foveated Rendering, (and MSAA x8) means great image quality that allows you to see the smallest spices or any pieces of broken plates that you drop (accidentally, of course).
High framerate in the most physically demanding situations
Cooking Simulator VR offers complex physics, allowing you to cut ingredients, heat individual parts of the dish, fry in various ways, pour liquids, and blow up the kitchen. The power of PlayStation 5 and the specification of PlayStation VR2 allowed us to develop the most stable version of the game, where the framerate offers native 120 fps, without the need for reprojection.
Feel every boom
At Gameboom VR, we love all unconventional approaches to technology. So we just had to use the headset vibration of PS VR2. Only in this version of Cooking Simulator VR you will be able to feel every explosion in the kitchen on your face! If you happen to leave a gas cylinder in the oven (it happens, right?), PlayStation VR2 will let you feel that, after all, maybe it wasn’t a good idea?
The game will be available on PS VR2 December 15. If you want to be even closer to the development process – you are more than welcome to join our Discord server and ask us any questions!
See you in the kitchen!
