• Virgin Media O2 teams up with UK Garage legend, MC Neat, to surprise passers-by at Kings Cross through an immersive 4D experience
  • The pop-up will promote Virgin Media’s new entertainment service, Stream, which launched earlier this year and offers customers more freedom, flexibility and value
  • MC Neat will perform a selection of his biggest hits live at Kings Cross today to celebrate Virgin Media’s Stream campaign

Following the launch of its multi-million-pound integrated brand campaign, ‘Hyped’, Virgin Media O2 and UK Garage icon, MC Neat, will today be entertaining commuters with an immersive 4D billboard experience at London’s Kings Cross train station between 9am – 8pm.

The activation will provide members of the public with an immersive 4D experience, with Virgin Media’s ‘Hyped’ mouth, voiced by an entertainer and MC Neat, coming to life via a 4D anamorphic billboard combined with real time motion capture to create a world first. Through live automated lip-syncing technology, the mouth will be able to interact in real time with passers-by and the surrounding environment through two huge 4.2m x 4.2m screens.

In a surprise twist, garage duo MC Neat and DJ Luck will appear from behind the digital billboard to perform five 20-minute live sets throughout the afternoon. The disruptive outdoor experience aims to capture the energy of Virgin Media’s Stream campaign, which launched earlier this year and centred around the real experts of entertainment – TVs, to deliver a truly unique live entertainment experience.

Amy Gilbert, Marketing Director at Virgin Media O2, said: “Disruption and innovation is in Virgin Media’s DNA, so we wanted to push our Stream campaign even further to surprise and delight unsuspecting commuters. Stream is about giving our customers more – more innovation, more flexibility and more value, so what better way to bring this to life than by creating an immersive experience with an unexpected twist for members of the public to enjoy.”

Alex Bright, Managing Director at Audience, said: “Virgin Media is an amazing brand to create experiences for. A brand who believes in the intrinsic benefits its technology brings to its customers. We love designing world first experiences true to this belief and showcasing products in an innovative way.”

British garage artist MC Neat, said: “I’m hyped to be performing live at Kings Cross to help get the nation buzzing about Virgin Media’s entertainment service, Stream. It’s going to be epic so get yourself there to see some 4D surprises and an appearance from me and DJ Luck.”

Stream from Virgin Media launched earlier this year, offering customers a new way to bring together their favourite TV channels, video apps and streaming subscriptions all in one place and at great value, with a small plug and play box powered entirely by the company’s superior broadband.
