Michael Laursen was 8 years old when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. It turned his family’s world upside down.
“The image of my mother, weakened by the treatments, is etched in my memory,” writes Laursen, who is now a test analyst for Blizzard Entertainment. He shares more of his personal experience with the disease and its impact on his life in a post on Xbox Wire that he considers a call to action that combines his passion for gaming with the fight against breast cancer.
Blizzard has released special charity skins for Overwatch 2, designed for the hero Mercy, who has dedicated her life to helping others. All sales of the limited-edition Pink Mercy skin and Rose Gold Mercy skin will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
Overwatch 2 is available to play on Windows PCs and Xbox consoles.
