It’s been a wild seven months since Back 4 Blood launched, and we’re so excited for today’s release of Tunnels of Terror, the game’s first downloadable content (DLC) expansion. New Cleaners, new Ridden, new unlockable skins, new cards, a new difficulty setting – this doesn’t even touch on all the features that are being rolled out, but let’s get into it a little bit, shall we?
Are you and your team brave enough to explore the Ridden Hives? Rumor has it the more risks you take, the more rewarding such exploration becomes – if you give into the temptation to proceed, that is. Do be warned, though, by venturing into these dark and strange tunnel-like formations beneath Evansburgh, you’ll face new Warped Ridden with never before seen attacks that definitely aren’t for the weak of heart. After all, if you think the Crusher has issues with personal space, I have news to tell you about the Shredder that will give you a better understanding of why Holly hates free hugs.
Up for a challenge? Our newest difficulty setting, No Hope, is now available as a free update for all Back 4 Blood owners and provides that extra level of danger, requiring the very best of the best to get that blood pumping. In the event you find your deck in need of a few revisions to take on No Hope, new cards are available that may give you the additional boost needed to prevail. Heng and Sharice, our two latest additions to the heroic Cleaners, also offer up some unique perks that you may find beneficial (and slightly reminiscent of piñatas).
A friendly reminder to all: playable content in our Tunnels of Terror expansion is accessible for all players in a party as long as one player in that party has purchased the expansion. We’ve put a lot of work into Tunnels of Terror, so trust me when I say a lot of additional blood, sweat, and tears have been put into our first expansion. We hope you love it as much as we do. Until the next one, we’ll see you in Fort Hope!
Available as part of the Tunnels of Terror expansion, Ridden Hives is an all-new co-op activity for teams of up to four players to explore seven different dungeons full of labyrinthine tunnels below the depths of Evansburgh that are infested with Warped Ridden. And they offer exclusive rewards, if you can outmaneuver and overcome these new enemies, including the landmine-setting Urchins, monstrous Shredders, and damage-dealing Rippers. The expansion also introduces two new playable Cleaners – Sharice, a firefighter, and Heng, a tough as nails, no-nonsense restaurateur, along with eight exclusive character skins, seven new legendary weapons, 12 new weapon skins, new cards, and more.
