The Ancient Egypt of Assassin’s Creed Origins is a vast world filled with activity, but the adventure launching October 27 on Xbox One is just the start of what’s planned. In addition to being Xbox One X enhanced on November 7, the months ahead will bring new quests for Bayek and new ways to play the game via the Assassin’s Creed Origins Season Pass, as well as new content that will be free to all players.

The Season Pass includes access to two new adventures. The Hidden Ones, due in January 2018, is set years after the events of the main story and brings Bayek into a new region to face an occupying army of Romans. The Hidden Ones will increase the game’s level cap, giving players new ways to progress as Bayek. In March 2018, The Curse of the Pharaohs will take Bayek on a journey into a mystical new realm of Egyptian mythology, as he unravels the secret that has brought mythical monsters and undead pharaohs to life. Like The Hidden Ones, Curse of the Pharaohs will increase the level cap and add new abilities. The Season Pass will include other perks, including the Roman Centurion and Horus item packs, available this November, which add new outfits, shields, mounts, and weapons to the game, and Season Pass owners will also get day-one access to an exclusive Rare weapon, the Calamity Blade, and 500 Helix credits.

Additionally, several free content drops are planned at or after launch. Special timed boss-battle events, gladiator-arena challenges, and daily quests will appear as part of The Trial of the Gods (with the first event beginning 15 days after launch), Horde Mode (scheduled for release in early 2018), and The Nomad’s Bazaar (available at launch), respectively. All of these will offer new opportunities to score in-game rewards and exotic loot. And if exploration is more your thing, the Photo Mode releasing at launch will let you capture the beauty of the landscape around you with custom screenshots, and automatically share them with the community.

Also coming in early 2018 is a new educational mode, Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt, which turns the world of Assassin’s Creed Origins into an open-world museum, free of conflict and narrative, offering everyone the opportunity to learn more about Ancient Egypt through guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. Discovery Tour will be available as a free update for all owners of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

The Season Pass is available either separately or as part of Assassin’s Creed Origins Gold Edition, which launches alongside the standard edition on October 27. Assassin’s Creed Origins will be Xbox One X Enhanced when the Xbox One X launches on November 7.
