Tune-in Today for Gears Pro Circuit and Halo Championship Series Action

In just a few hours, the Gears Pro Circuit and Halo Championship Series will unite in New Orleans for a simultaneous, crossover esports event, where the best Gears and Halo players will each compete for $250,000 prize pools. Featuring hundreds of players, two main stages, multiple feature stations and two open brackets, the tournament is sure to be required viewing for fans of both franchises and esports!

The competition kicks off this afternoon at 2 p.m. CDT/12 p.m. PDT, streaming live on live.gearsofwar.com, Mixer.com/HaloTwitch.tv/Halo, Twitter and Facebook. Gears players tuning into the action will have the chance to earn free in-game weapon skins throughout the weekend, just by tuning in and watching at live.gearsofwar.com. If you’re interested in attending in-person, spectator tickets are still available online or onsite during the event.

Players looking to jump into the action themselves can also check out the Halo and Gears sale in the Microsoft Store, beginning today and lasting until July 19. Fans can pick up “Gears of War 4” for $19.99, “Halo 5: Guardians” for $14.99 or a bundle featuring both titles for $34.99.

New Orleans promises intrigue for fans of both the Gears Pro Circuit and Halo Championship Series. Will Ghost Gaming claim another Gears title after their win last month in Las Vegas? Will the addition of new settings, Forge maps and Oddball to “Halo 5: Guardians” open the door for a new challenger to contend for Splyce’s Halo crown? Tune-in this weekend to find out!
