The 2019 HUAWEI NEXT-IMAGE Awards are open for entries and consist of 6 conceptual categories. The contest explores the possibilities of next-generation visual expressions and culture for all Huawei mobile users. “I think it’s important if you take a picture with a phone or a camera to tell small stories that are close to you,” says Bieke Deporter. We visited her on-site in to Ghent where she has set up a temporary studio in an empty house – turning it into a studio of inspiration and creativity. She is a Magnum Photographer who enjoys to use the low light function of HUAWEI P30 Pro to capture interesting stories of people at night.
