Hello there, (soon-to-be) farmers! When Farming Simulator 22 releases November 22 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, you’ll build and shape the farm of your dreams. You might not have thought about it yet, but let the thought of creating and managing your own lush vineyard with rows and rows of vines that stripe the curvy fields of land sink in for a moment. Did you? Cool. Whether you’re the type for an idyllic Mediterranean farm, aspire of a huge farming operation in the US Midwest, or dream of an iconic mountain farmstead in the Alps, do what you want when you take on agriculture, animal husbandry, and forestry on three distinct maps!
Let’s see what to expect from Farming Simulator 22: You’ll get new crops, new maps, new brands and machines (there are over 400 authentic machines from real brands), and of course, a lot of brand-new features. Seasonal cycles will make it snow and require you to look at the crop calendar, so you know when to plant grapes, olives, and sow sorghum or your favorite from over ten other crops. If you’re more of an animal type of farmer, create pastures and tend to cows, chicken, sheep, pigs, and horses.
For us at Giants Software, it’s a milestone to publish the game by ourselves for the very first time and deliver the most ambitious entry to the series to date. With Farming Simulator 22, we add a new economic layer, too, and give you more activities than ever before. Production chains allow you to process harvested crops further, now. Produce and sell grape juice (what else would you make out of grapes that’s suitable for all ages?), olive oil, cake and bread or a lot of other goods. Also, customize your experience with the new build mode, an extensive character creator and a lot of choices on how to run your farm.
Since running a farm gets more challenging the more it grows, you can always get some help. In the multiplayer mode, you farm with friends and like-minded farmers. Either run a farm together, or each build your own businesses. That doesn’t mean you can’t help out one another, though. You should! All of you farming experts out there will be happy to welcome back renowned brands like Case IH, Claas, Deutz-Fahr, Fendt, John Deere, Krone, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra, and many more. Yes, new brands and new types of machinery extend the fleet and will give you even more awesome machines to operate.
At our very own community event, FarmCon, we just presented and announced a lot of the upcoming features for the game in detail. We’re streaming every day from July 21 to July 23 beginning at 20:00 CEST to talk about the new crops, seasonal cycles, engine, and sound improvements, and various other features. We also keep you updated on our official YouTube channel and blog. Why don’t you take a look?
Until November 22, picture your new Mediterranean or US Midwest-inspired farm and let the good times already grow in your head. We’ll keep you posted and brush some more details into that image very soon.
