Samsung KNOX offers a separate environment for work called the KNOX Container.

Once the KNOX container is installed you can easily access KNOX mode by selecting the KNOX icon in the home screen, or from the notification bar. KNOX mode can be easily identified by the stripes at the top of the screen and all app icons are indicated with a triangle badge in the lower right hand corner.

Let’s get a photo as an email attachment in the container. This picture may contain confidential information. You can see the picture and share it through those applications that have been approved by the company. However, in your personal home gallery, you cannot see any picture that has been taken in KNOX mode. Pictures taken from your personal home however can be shared as you choose.

In personal mode, access to business schedules is prohibited due to security issues. However, in KNOX mode, the KNOX calendar application allows users to see their personal schedule in the calendar.

Employees can download and install various applications from KNOX Apps for their own business productivity and still download their favorite apps in their personal mode.
