You’ve heard of volleyball, you’ve heard of swingball, but have you heard of Wall Ball? Traditionally it’s played by throwing and catching a ball against a wall with other players lining up ready to steal your go (there’s an official UK Wall Ball website if you don’t believe us) but it’s been revamped and revved up to coincide with World Cup fever.

So, how do you play?

The latest, footy-inspired version of Wall Ball starts with the ball mounted on the player’s foot. The aim is to flick the ball gently against the wall and balance it back onto the foot as many times as possible, without it touching the ground. It’s an addictive game that demands concentration and control, and it isn’t just all of us at Three who love it – its taking the footballing world by storm.

You’ve got to be in it, to win it.

Well, if it’s good enough for FC Barcelona, it’s good enough for us. So, we’re running our very own Wall Ball challenge in 15 Three stores around the country. Fancy yourself as the next Firmino? Reckon you can rival Salah? Hot on the heels of Henderson? If you’re near to one of the following stores, come on in and show off your skills:

It all kicks off in Islington on Tuesday 12th June, with Manchester and Birmingham joining on Wednesday 13th June, Portsmouth on Thursday 14th and all the remaining stores getting stuck in on Saturday 16th June. If you’ve got the skills and you manage to score the highest number of ball catches on your foot in our #ThreeWallBall challenge, you could win either a football shirt or a football. Result!

Don’t worry, if you can’t get to a participating store, your fancy footwork won’t go to waste. Simply get a mate to film you doing the Wall Ball challenge and upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the tags @threeuk and #ThreeWallBall. You’ll also be in with a chance of winning one of our prizes and you could be the next YouTube Wall Ball sensation.
