5G security for defense

The introduction of massive numbers of IoT devices poses security challenges for wireless networks. It is important for network operators to protect those devices, by protecting the radio access network (RAN), ensuring that rogue devices are not attaching themselves to the network. SDN and NFV also pose security challenges because they provide a common infrastructure for multiple applications. If one of those supported applications is compromised, other applications can be affected. It is critical to follow industry best practices and implement the right security policies. Nokia takes a holistic approach to securing mission-critical networks using a SOAR (security, orchestration, analytics and response) model that leverages AI and machine learning capabilities to predict, prevent, detect and respond to attacks.
